The MIC29302BT is a high current, high accuracy, low-dropout voltage regulator. Using Micrel proprietary Super Beta PNP process with a PNP pass element, the regulator features 300mV to 370mV (full load) dropout voltages and very low ground current. Designed for high current loads, the device also finds applications in lower current, extremely low dropout-critical systems, where their tiny dropout voltage and ground current values are important attributes. The MIC29302BT is fully protected against overcurrent faults, reversed input polarity, reversed lead insertion, overtemperature operation, and positive and negative transient voltage spikes.
ParametricsAbsolute maximum ratings: (1)Power Dissipation: Internally Limited; (2)Lead Temperature (Soldering, 5 seconds): 260℃; (3)Storage Temperature Range: –65℃ to +150℃; (4)Input Supply Voltage: –20V to +60V.
FeaturesFeatures: (1)High Current Capability: 3A; (2)Low-Dropout Voltage: 350mV at Full Load; (3)Low Ground Current; (4)Accurate 1% Guaranteed Tolerance; (5)Extremely Fast Transient Response; (6)Reverse-battery and “Load Dump” Protection; (7)Zero-Current Shutdown Mode (5-Pin versions); (8)Error Flag Signals Output Out-of-Regulation (5-Pin versions); (9)Also Characterized For Smaller Loads With Industry-Leading Performance Specifications; (10)Fixed Voltage and Adjustable Versions.
