|
|
Hi,
for several weeks, I tried to build the Nixie Clock. My problem is that I don't get the 170 V at the testpoint. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Is it possible that I won't measure the 170 V because the PIC isn't already running? |

Hi,
please check PIC BCD outputs to know if your pic is runnning,
check also voltage on pin RB6 _________________ BrunoG, Administrator |

Hi,
the whole PIC is not running. There is no voltage on RB6. The osc is also dead. What could be the problem? |

verify the flash memory, check the configuration flags, the master clear pin _________________ BrunoG, Administrator |

Which program is recommended to burn the PIC? Is there anyone out there who successfully built this project?
I downloaded the hex.-file from the page, but the PIC won't work with it. |

| I don't see no changes on RB0 and RB1. The oscilator doesn' work. The program is written on the PIC. Everything seems to be ok, but it won't work. |

I use a PIC 16F84A-20P. We also tried to get the high voltage to work on a seperate PCB with an external oszi. It doesn't work...
I'm not a professional. It's just a hobby. I can solder and I'm able to read read the circuit plans. But I have no idea how to get this stuff to run. |

about the pic : try a blinking led example test program, just to be sure your hardware & programmer are ok :

about the high voltage circuit : are you using a fast recovery diode ? a standard diode will not work. _________________ BrunoG, Administrator |
